Special Representative Richard Holbrooke talks to Fareed about how bad the crises in Afghanistan and Pakistan really are. Calling the situation in Pakistan 'dangerous,' he discusses the challenges he faces in the region and what can be done about the Taliban who are now on both sides of the border.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK
Should the United States take dramatic action and interfere in the inner workings of Pakistan to keep it from falling apart?

Tell us what you think and why.

1. it may appear that there is no interest, but actually it is because we have no CONTROL
over what happens in Pakistan ...sorry there is enough on Americas plate for Americans so, to care too much about Pakistan is too remote for our abilities!

4. Did you actually watch the interview or is this a gut reaction to the title and description?

I only ask because your reply appears to be deliberately vague and it's not clear what you mean.

Welcome to DU, btw.

3. It won't matter...
If Pakistan falls Taliban and Al-Qaeda could get those nuclear weapons...Do you think we have a choice if that happens?
