Fareed sits down with leading Pakistani journalist Ahmed Rashid. Rashid discusses whether or not Pakistan is in danger of collapse, how the Taliban have moved into new geographic areas while making alliances with extremist groups, and what role the U.S. should play in Pakistan.

QUESTION OF THE WEEK
Should the United States take dramatic action and interfere in the inner workings of Pakistan to keep it from falling apart?

Tell us what you think and why.

It sure is going to get seriously bumpy, and in the not too distant future, too.

Thanks for the thanks, btw.

3. Ahmed Rashid book is very good
I think everyone should read it! It lays out just how complicated the situation is over there. It also tells how a good part of the people were glad we came in after 9/11 but Bush FUCKED it all up by leaving! Seriously, I am not saying this to bash Bush, he really did screw everything up! I sit and try to think of something he left better than he found it and all I can come up with is the BOTTOMLINE OF HALIBURTON's FINANCIAL STATEMENT...And BLACKWATER & the rest of those no-bid getting defense contractors.

PLEASE tell me if I forgot something?

4. If I had one wish it would be...
That Obama was the President during 9/11...He seems to have his finger on the pulse of every situation. I do not care who thinks I am delusional or that I am a blind follower, I like our President!
