1. At least some former officials are admitting it.

Seems a collective cognitive dissonance has affected the majority of even the so called 'good ones.' It remains to be seen how far the new administration will go concerning accountability.

The 'look ahead' argument is ridiculous on so many levels, moral, legal, ethical, that it will be laughed out of court on the first day. If it is allowed to go that far. I certainly hope so.
