1. Maybe it would be a good idea to "test" screeners periodically??

It's really NOT good information to blab this all over the airwaves. If I were a criminal type, it would tell me a lot about my chances of moving weapons about via airlines.

I think it might be in the best interest of security to have some actual checks being run and monitored by security, to see if the screeners are really doing their job up to snuff? Know what I mean?

6. They missed matches in my coat recently

I went on a trip recently, and upon reaching my destination I realized that I had left a small pack of matches in my coat pocket. It doesn't inspire confidence in security.

5. Security Theater

That's what frequent fliers call it. Huge loopholes, cursory searches (although they do beef up searches on dark people - like some of my Indian clients).

But is this country prepared for Israel-level security? I doubt it.


Note: just went through security in Vegas (never been there before) and was surprised how short the lines were and how fast it went. Although i understand Sundays are usually really bad.
