A doctor has claimed to have cloned a number of human embryos and implanted them into the wombs of four volunteers.

None have resulted in a pregnancy but Dr Zavos says he WILL produce a child within the next few years. And no, this is not the Onion News

1. Not unless the science has changed the Dr. is a con man
All cloning of any of the lesser apes (monkeys) have resulted in spontaneous abortions.

2. I don't know much about biology, but science does make its progress.
I asked my high school biology teacher, "After the cell divides, which of the two resulting cells contains the soul of the original cell?"

5. That's so funny that you ask. After I posted I thought I should have posted his answer.
First of all, that teacher was an asshole. He didn't like me. After I asked the question he only shot me a hateful look and continued to stare at me in anger.

Other stories about him:

I got called out into the hallway after he said that bats use radar to hunt, and I corrected him by saying they use echo location, which is a form of sonar, and that bats are not radios.

When he was lecturing about cellular respiration, and mentioned how chemicals pass through the semi-permeable membrane of the cell, I asked him what was the mechanism by which particular molecules find themselves being moved around thusly. He yelled at me.

I asked him why, when certain elements have the same exact number of valence electrons as other elements, that they would behave differently with other chemicals. This got him extremely angry. I was sent to the principal's office. In college I asked the same question, and my teacher answered the question very easily. He explained that even though the element has the same number of valence electrons in the chemically active shell around the nucleus, those electrons have different energies and will thusly behave differently. He went on to explain that a heavier nucleus will also contribute to differing chemical properties. He appreciated the opportunity to answer the question.

Ah, college! It was so cool to discover in college that I wasn't actually a disciplinary problem.

6. High School Science
AHHH...Dulover that brings back memories...

Freshman year in high school, the teacher agrees with one of the lessor informed students that you can get lead poisoning from (pencil lead).

Me being the A-student sarcastic SOB that I was promptly admonished he & the class on how that was imposable as pencil lead is graphite, a form of carbon & that you would need a pencil from the 18 century when pencils were made from powdered lead & wax.

Didn't go over too well as I was told to go to the deans office where I was threatened with a paddling.
Bad move on the deans part as I got up leaned over his desk & told him if he ever threatened me again I would take that paddle & stick it up his ass. I would've too.

Left school that day, didn't go back till the last two weeks to take my finals, passed.

Still LOL about that.
