4. It's a very common French method.
The technique of a triangular table with the host at one end and the guests on either side, started in France in the early 90's. Since then most talk shows follow that format. It allows for cameras to be set at each corners of the triangle plus one facing the host from above like the first shot in that video. This http://www.canalplus.fr/tous-les-programmes/les-emissions/pid2174-c-p-le-grand-journal.html? is the descendant of the show that started the trend, you will notice they have a similar set up.

2. We don't mean literally kidnapping -- uh, actually ...
I guess we do.

Actually these guys are criminals of the highest order. They should be prosecuted for their larceny. It shouldn't be necessary for the people to do this extra-legally.

At least in the case of the torturing there is at least a DISCUSSION of prosecution, if not actual prosecutions. These bank criminals are so in control of things there isn't even any discussion of their trials.

3. Love me some Max..
He has been calling for an American revolution against the destroyers of the economy for the past few years, and has used the word "guillotine" a lot.
He has also been absolutely correct in identifying the nature of the financial problems, in predicting the global depression, and has been totally ignored by American media.
