Crist probably feels it is better to let is slip by and let someone else do battle on it - so he can save face, but I think it's stupid that people can't just stand up for the constitution and say - if you want something religious on your car, get a frame for your plate - but the state can't print specific, religious symbols on state-issued property

I think you should try reading the "Emberverse" series by S.M. Stirling. It's an after-the-end-of-civilization series, and many of the main and supporting characters are Wiccan. Here's a link to a sample chapter (first book, chapter 2):

Our current one is " Stars Fell on Alabama", and I like it,but changing the plate is mandatory unless I want to pay extra for one of several vanity plates.
but I do not want the new plate...

I'd look into it if you have a chance - just thinking aloud, but seems to me not offering a plain one at the same price is a bit restrictive, given that you are forced to put it on your car (whereas U.S. coins, while they do mention 'God' are not seen and don't create an outward expression to the public at large)

it along with his face - talk about sacrilegious to respectful Christians - sheesh... of course the nutjobs will rush out and adorn their car with a Jesus-plate!

Then they'll complain when someone gets one and they put something on it that is questionable, and what about the plates that are #666, which I've rejected receiving once before?

ADORNING my Savior on a license plate which is state property is BIZARRO! Shame on anyone who gets it.
