1. No he shouldn't
No pardons for torturers who followed illegal orders. If just one of them had had the guts to say no, it might have stopped before it even began.

Besides, Graner had a history of abuse allegations as corrections officer, and he liked to beat up on his wife as well.

5. Should we prosecute every member..
of the military that worked at Abu Ghraib, and Gitmo? I would think in a court of law, that those following the law regarding the interrogation techniques they were taught and ordered to use, would not be charged with breaking the law, and that anyone who went further than the law specified would be charged with breaking the law. Should members of the military be charged with murder for Fallujah? Perhaps the suicide rate among our military will climb to such a level that prosecution will become a moot point.

3. Does John Roberts REALLY need to have Abu Ghraib explained to him again?
Christ, can't we count on at least some modicum of memory, intelligence, and professionalism from our on-air "journalists"?

4. Garner was a piece of shit, but it's impossible that
a group of E-4s and E-5s "took over" the prison. Just because they got their hands dirty doesn't excuse the immediate chain of command.

6. No, they should not be pardoned.
Just following orders is not a defense.

7. In the movie "Iraq For Sale" she came down hard on CACI and contractors
At this point in time, she appears to be avoiding the fact that CACI contractors were partying all over the detainee's right alongside Lyndie England.

The movie is significant because it focuses on how the Contractors we extremely well paid, and were basically immune from any limitations of th Military Code of Justice, since they were "Independant Contractors", who just happened to be tasked with gathering Sensistive Intelligence for the nation, whithout the commensurate safeguards, othes and restrictions.

This movie is available on Netflix as streaming video for a little while longer, which is why I watched it before it goes away.

This movie is especially important in light of the newly released revelations about Torture, as it reminds us that the Contractors were mixed up with this in a big way, and that is something that the media is sweeping under the rug, or they have just plain forgotten about.

In fact, you rarely hear anything about Halliburton, CACI, Titan, or Blackwater any more these days. Sure, some little stuff dribbles out, but the fraud over in Iraq was massive. Our troops were mistreated and exploited, and in some cases killed by their negligence.
