Puts career advancement and fame in front of her brood, including a child with down's syndrome. Exposes her pregnant teenage daughter to national scrutiny. Most likely pushes now young-adult-single-mother daughter to become the spokeswoman of hypocrisy, although that's just speculation.

When Letterman told that joke, I thought it was about Bristol. It was about Bristol. Everyone thought it was about Bristol. The only people turning Willow into a sex object here are the Palins. If they honestly were concerned that Letterman was making jokes of a sexual nature about their 14-year-old daughter, they could have had their people quietly contact Letterman's people without dragging it into the news. Instead they issue a press release turning their young teenage daughter into a sex object. A supposed victim of the joke, but a sex object nonetheless. All for Sarah's advancement. Great family values there.

5. Regardless if the joke was aimed at Willow or Bristol, it was a bad joke.

Having said that, at least Letterman has never said anything to inflame people into murdering doctors and security guards or blowing up buildings. That includes you, Sarah Palin. I remember seeing the videos of your political rallies last fall, fanning the flames of racism, hate and violence to the mouth-breathing knuckledraggers who actually think you would have made a good VP, which speaks volumes on how intelligent your base is.

10. What Cenk doesn't mention

is that Bristol Palin (the 18-year-old daughter) was not at the Yankees game. That was Willow (the 14-year-old daughter). Therefore when Letterman said that Palin's daughter was knocked up at the baseball game, the Palins assumed that he was talking about Willow. He didn't know that Willow was actually the one at the baseball game, and did not intend to make a joke about statutory rape.

Any person who was both intelligent and honest would acknowledge that Letterman was talking about Bristol, who is not only of age but also a public figure because of her choice to be a spokeswoman for abstinence. Unfortunately the Palins are either dumb or dishonest, though I would say from their past history that likely they are both.
