Summary: Cenk breaks down the supposedly controversial question asked of President Obama by Nico Pitney of the Huffington Post. The controversy is that some in the MSM/Old Media think Pitney's question was a White House plant. You can . The short version of Cenk's take is that the controversy is complete BS and the Old Media is pissed (see the reaction of MSNBC's Chuck Todd for a good laugh in addition to that of Dana Milbank) on superficial, dismissive and competitive grounds.

1. In my opinion...
President Obama should let TWO bloggers ask questions at every press conference before calling on the MSM.
That will help to knock the MSM down a peg or two ;)
The MSM acts like they are 'owed' something special and at times they forget that they are just the 'reporters' and that it is the President that is the 'important' person at those press conferences.

9. Journalists seem more interested in getting their name up and network ID . . .
rather than question -- though from what I've seen lately, an argumentive question

is substituting now for a thoughtful, penetrating question.

6. I Think A Group
that doesn't question a gay prostitute, self made media reporter with White House access as a plant during the Bush press conferences really doesn't have much room to complain about a Huffington Post Reporter.

Most of the on line news sites have more people doing real reporting then the Old MSM.

7. K&R I agree, the msm would rather ask stupid questions about
Obama and whether or not he still smokes.:eyes:

Like that is the most important issue out there right now.

8. I was impressed when he went to Nico
And how he handles himself during these events. How times have changed since you-know-who's clownish buffoonery during press conferences.

12. Who's Chuck Todd?
I would hazard to guess that more people get their news from Huffington Post throughout the day than from Chuck Todd.
