Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid shelved the idea of a second stimulus package, saying over 90% of the plans funds havent been spent.

2. They've only spent 6% of the first stimulus!
Unfortunately, congress is taking their sweet time confirming additional members of the Administration that would be managing the stimulus.

3. Yeah I'd say late '09 or 2010 for a 2nd stimulus just need to hold tight because I do believe...
it will get better. The GOP gave the nation such a beating it's surprising that complete anarchy hasn't taken hold. If you feel it's bad always remember the alternate reality McCain's America... the fundamentals of the economy are... erm strong.

5. Great, all we need is another boondoggle ....
Sure, lets spend another 800 billion on top of the trillions the idiot congress has spent on bailouts, bribes, and payoffs. Remember all that crap about how the stimulus had to be passed IMMEDIATELY, so fast nobody could read it, just pass it or the unemployment rate would go above 8%? They sure got that wrong. And if their understanding of the economy was so far off, why does anyone think they are any smarter now? They sold us snake oil.

6. They did not sell us snake oil
The economy was so far in the tank that the stimulus was all that kept us from teetering clear over the cliff. And another stimulus might be needed to prevent further damage and more job loss. Consumers are not spending! Only the government can jump start the economy under these circumstances, contrary to what your right wing brothers are selling. What is your idea, more tax cuts for the wealthy? Cut corporate taxes? If we wanted to hear your RW ideas we could just tune in Rush Limbaugh.

7. You better get in touch with your minders.
Biden, Hoyer, Obama, even Paul Krugman says the first stimulus isn't working. If all that money went to real "shovel ready" infrastructure programs then it would be money well spent, but almost none of it is being spent that way. Spending for the sake of spending is not Keynesian economics, the spending has to be targeted to specific areas and has to be immediate to take up the slack created when people and businesses quit spending.

Right Wing? I want open (what happened to "transparent"?), honest government that works for the good of the nation, not for special interests. I want a government that is careful and deliberate and does the right thing, not a government that thinks it has to rush massive legislation through so fast nobody can even read it. I want a government that stays out of my bedroom. If thats right wing then count me in, it would be nice to join a party that is worth a damn.
