What Mr. Beck failed to mention is that after he spelled out O-L-I-G-A-R-H, he said that only one letter was missing. He then promptly added a letter "Y" and called it a day. Hey, Glenn, here is a word you can maybe spell...

I wouldn't worry about the ratings for Glenn Beck, because advertisers agree that the content is offensive. They realize his demographic is not a desirable target market.

Rather than admitting he'd made a mistake, or just skipping it, he took the opportunity to characterize as petty those laughing it up over his error.

People with authoritarian personalities simply can't admit they are wrong, but even in an instance like this, usually a television personality can admit to a screw up, he just was incapable of it. And not only that he sounded pretty crazy the way he went on about the "correction" like it really burned him up inside so he had to act overly snide and mean about it. There just something off about that guy, like people such as Hannity, for example, I don't really get that. With Beck, he seems unhinged a little. He's more than a bit creepy. He should have just laughed it off, said he messed up and moved on, nobody would really care and he'd look like a much bigger man, because honestly, who doesn't screw up and make a typo or spell something wrong etc etc?
