1. I think Bush is a little confused in his Vietnam history.
I am a lot older and remember it quite differently. I remember that we were the ones who killed the most Vietnamese. Things in Vietnam settled down quickly after we left.

4. Oh, I think he had his words chosen very carefully for him
He didn't say millions of Vietnamese suffered or died because of our withdrawal. I think he's talking about Cambodia. Someone in Cheney's cabal has probably been working to convince him that our withdrawal from Vietnam precipitated the Khmer Rouge atrocities which did, in fact, chronologically follow the withdrawal. This is a very convenient analogy for the warmongers to have Shrub believe, since Iran is Iraq's Cambodia.

2. Bush speaking on a subject for which he has no clue, Shrub's* reading words
...written for him exposes his total ignorance about the subject

3. That fucker has no right to talk about Vietnam
The Son of a Bitch was AWOL and now he is abusing the honor of those who fought and died in Vietnam for further gain in his quest for an escalated war in Iraq.

He will rot in the worst hell for what he has done to humanity.

5. He didn't serve and isn't a student of history. This is just rhetoric.
And historically inaccurate rhetoric at that.

Why does the VFW continue to back Bush? I thought their organization was supposed to benefit veterans...

6. But but but
didn't he get several Purple Hearts and the Congressional Medal of Honor for bravery under fire in Vietnam? Or as Emily Latella might say, "never mind."
Essentially, the VFW is a place where veterans go to get cheap liquor and recount alcohol distorted war memories. There membership shrinks as you read this. How veterans still support back stabbing Repubes is beyond reason.

7. Curious
I assume from your comment that, although eligible, you are
not a member of the VFW.

What was your MOS and where were you stationed?

10. Wrong conclusion/Right conclusion
No, LynnTheDem, I am not and never have been a member of any
veteran's organization, but you are correct in assuming that I
do not support many of the Republican Policies.

12. My father did two tours on the Hornet and Kitty Hawk
He has some absolutely spectacular super 8 film of his squadron flying around. Thanks for the comment about my photo site. I appreciate it.
