Earlier this year, the Supreme Court made a disastrous ruling in the Citizens’ United case that will allow corporations to funnel as much money into political campaigns as they want. Luckily, there are still some members of Congress who are working to bring our democracy back to the people, and not to corporate America. One of those people is Congressman Alan Grayson, who co-sponsored the Shareholder Protection Act, which will prevent companies from giving to political campaigns without the support of their shareholders, and he recently spoke to Mike Papantonio about his efforts. You can donate to Congressman Grayson's Money Bomb by going to this site - https://secure.mydccc.org/o/30019/t/270/shop/custom.jsp?donate_page_KEY=139

4.  Me too, and not to forget supporting piracy and murder on the high seas
attacking those bringing humanitarian aid to the starving in Gaza. These not lightly forgiven

Fine idea. I was thinking Shirley Sherrod myself, but your idea rocks, too.

8. Grayson is so awesome he needs a podcast show, he could just record what he says in Congress and...

upload that everyday. He always has the greatest one liners. It would go number 1 across the world instantly. If not that at least a gathering of his thoughts once a week.

9. I wish he'd campaign for all marginal seats, we'll be on easy street in no time....

It's probably a lot to ask but if he can at least stump for Boxer I'll be a happy guy. Targetting the universities let's get that youth vote motivated.

15. The biggest problem for Sanders in 2012 is that he has a senate election then too...
And that will be very tricky to run both for president and for the Senate. If he quits his senator seat and runs and loses for president, we lose one of the greatest reps we have.

Also, even if he runs in both races (which is probably why he'd make a better running mate to someone than the candidate of choice), I'm guessing that Kaine of the DNC and the DSCC won't have a "hands off" approach to running a Dem in the Vermont general election like Howard Dean did when he first won the Senate seat when Dean got the party not to run anyone against Sanders then.

Too bad Sanders is not running this year or 2014 instead...

13. I wonder if any non-corporate
candidate can withstand the assault of TV advertisements.

These negative ads do have an effect, as we have seen time and again. Our democracy has already been hijacked.

The Democrat's objective should be to illustrate how we are not the party of corporate interests. So far we have failed in this miserably.

16. It is a hard thing to do since the democratic party
is being taken over by these same corporatists wearing a "D". In fact Rahm is recruiting them and pulling the rug from anyone with true democratic ideals;

It is equally hard to get respect for our party when these so called "Democrats" are running around, voting , acting and doing the same thing as the pugs to destroy this country and the values it once stood for, in favor of corporate interests.

Making the cry, "they are all the same" a reality.

17. Yes, they are making it
a reality. I guess the day of wearing the Nascar-like coveralls with sponsor names is actually coming. At least it looks that way. This ain't America.
