2. 'It is the difference between what they say and what they are actually doing that is the news'.
The Pin the Debt Segment was mildly entertaining - but she uses it to set up an excellent commentary on an awol MSM. An MSM that amounts to nothing more than a bunch of stenographers and publicists for the republican party.

7. Brilliant. The perfect answer to Jon Stewart's equivocating

Fox and MSNBC.

I'm glad to see that MSNBC is willing to slug it out on an intellectual level, on the level of integrity, with the simplistic characterization of them that Jon Stewart seems to insist is correct.

Here you go, Jon Stewart: You are wrong.

There is a difference between evidence-based medicine and quackery. Fox reports quackery, not facts. For example, the Acorn story was quack news.

There is a difference between science and fiction. Global warming is science as is evolution. Fox reports on all the reasons to doubt global warming and to embrace Creationism, and that is pretty much the extent of their "science" reporting.

Courts do not admit evidence that has no foundation. Fox favors rumors and fears and suspicions and speculation. It demands no foundation.

I wonder what kinds of personal choices Jon Stewart makes. Does he go to a doctor or a faith healer? Does he side with Fox on things like the Acorn story? How about global warming? Evolution? Doesn't he want to see evidence for which there is a foundation in our courtrooms?

I will not be happy until Jon Stewart admits he has been wrong, wrong, wrong about MSNBC's liberal evening shows and admits that Fox News and MSNBC have very little in common when it comes to the trustworthiness and quality of their reporting.
