From BOLDPROGRESSIVES.org

In a meeting with Republican leaders yesterday, President Obama told them to "work out a compromise" on tax cuts with Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, a Wall Street insider who spends his days dealing with millionaires instead of regular people.

Did Americans elect Geithner in 2008? Or Obama, who clearly promised to repeal the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy?

We found footage of that campaign promise, and today we're using it in a new TV ad telling Obama to fight the Republicans on this issue.

Click here to see our new TV ad -- and chip in $4 to air it this week in DC.

Our ad also includes devastating video of House Republican leader John Boehner admitting he would cave if President Obama fought hard on this issue.

When Democrats stand with 98% of Americans and Republicans stand with only the wealthiest 2%, it's absolutely insane for Democrats to be obsessed with "compromise."

This is a winnable fight for Democrats -- if Obama keeps his promise and fights!

2. He also promoised to allow drug reimportation. Then once elected he did a complete 180
and actually cut a deal with big pharma not to allow this.

So this is nothing new, but many here simply don't care.

6. I do not believe for a second the GOP will vote for...
allowing the tax cuts on the wealthy to expire NOT A SECOND! I guess most here believe the Republicans will keep their word, I don't!

What I do know is Obama is going to do what he has to do in order to keep the middle class taxes from going up...If the GOP goes back on their word which they will they have already let that been known...Then there is only two options temporary extension for all or let the all expire!

Now, I wonder how many people here would be happy with & support Obama if he stands his ground the Republicans block & everyone's taxes go up? And who does that help in the end? Everyone's political ego? What? I am curious?
