5. Yeah. I went back and listened again just to be sure.
Espionage, maybe, though I don't think it could stick....but Joe says "espionage...AS WELL." Unless we have an all for one and one for all agreement with the Aussies (and we don't!) treason ain't possible.
Moron indeed.

7. Exactly. Bradly Manning might be charged with treason. That would make sense. Watching Lieberdouche
praise the Iraqi disaster as a good thing because he saw people with cell phones. Demonstrated to me that he's not the exactly the sharpest guy around.

3. Is he one of those Senators that doesn't realize that...
...the Internets go outside the United States, there are people that live outside the United States, and that we aren't actually the boss of all those other people?

Probably just doesn't realize...

8. Joe, you really are a Moron aren't you...
Either you are saying this to rachet up the hate towards Wikileaks and promote another BS issue in order to protect the criminal incompetence you have demonstrated towards all major right wing foreign policy decisions you have supported, or you are a moron.

Classic case of Evil or Stupid.

10. Senator Lieberman, if you really don't know why, then you
should ask a first-year law student? If the student has any chance at all of passing Federal Civil Procedure, Constitution Law and/or any of his law school course work, he probably can explain this to you.

How can a person serve in the Senate this many years and not understand this basic principle. Now there could be some international law or some law of another country that could apply to Assange, but I can't believe that could be true since other countries are probably delighted to see Assange outing the secrets of other countries. Most other countries would secretly like to read those cables themselves.

Assange, as far as I know, did not commit any acts in the US that any other journalist wouldn't commit.

This is just part of harsh reality. Lieberman would be delighted if he could get the diplomatic cables of Iran published for all to see. Maybe that would be a better revenge for him than criticizing Assange. Maybe our government should enlist Assange to obtain intelligence for it.

Frankly, Assange seems to be better at getting intelligence information than our CIA or military intellligence.

13. US Code, Title 18, Part I, Ch 115, S. 2381: Treason
Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.

15. Here is a great example of deceit and misinformation coming at the American people via our leaders..
Edited on Tue Dec-07-10 02:27 PM by earcandle
Lieberman knows the rules of law and no one can be convicted
of releasing papers that are real and tell the truth. And
Assange is not an American so he cannot be convicted of
treason.. but the dummies in America will believe this and
stupidly go along.

Asshats.. Americans need some new hats. Brainhats... I think
the hackers are our new brainhats for justice!

17. Lieberman
I can't understand why Rove, Libby, Bush, Cheney,Rice, Addington, Wolfovitz(sic)Fleisher(sic) are not charged or even accused of a crime.
All I have heard is the Mayor of London stating that Bush could be arrested if he went to the UK. Although it would be unlikely as he stated , it would not be advisable to go to Italy or Spain where they do not tolerate the behavior nor care where you come from.

The last words out of the Mayors mouth were , remember Pinochet?

19. Oh, he doesn't, huh?
I've always known he was a weasel, but had no idea he was a moron as well. It fills me with pants-wetting terror when I reflect that so many in positions of national power are significantly less intelligent than myself. In this particular instance it's not even law or history at issue. It's friggin' ENGLISH!
