9. Well done by Rachel. There is simply no way to defend
what has been going on with this WH. Even for those who would like to. An historic opportunity, lost.

11. How about admitting her own near rabid support of the Candidate Obama
The lesson so many progressives and liberals have yet to learn is how it happened and why.

The why it happened is so many fell for the "brilliant campaign" Maddow describes.

The how is so many suspended the usual skepticism reserved for any political candidate completely in regards to Candidate Obama.

They took that skepticism and placed it on the shoulders of his opponent HRC demanding she the first legitimate female candidate prove herself beyond anything ever imagined for previous candidates from any party.

I remember Rachael Maddow and Olberman as the #1 and #2 loudest cheerleaders for President Obama back then. In particular Rachael's smug dismissal of HRC early in the primary season (say about February) galled me.

I wonder sometimes if the memories of those times now haunt them as nightmares.

12. So you're still peeved that HRC lost to Obama?
This is an argument that was pretty much old and stale by September of 2008.

14. There are a majority on THIS board that were fooled by candidate.............
..........Obama, myself included. So it is entirely unfair to pick out Olberman/Maddow and complain about them supporting Obama. Hell, I didn't even make up my mind between Obama/Clinton until Bill made those semi-racist remarks in SC. And for what it's worth, Hillary is a "DLC" Democrat and "most" of her policies would have mirrored Obama's. We need a truly liberal candidate and a LOT more liberal Reps and Senators to really "change" the country. In my opinion we have passed the point of no return NOW and are sliding into fascism.

16. It doesn't haunt any of them. Sadly.
What we witnessed was blind adoration of a deity, whom, many had hoped would
lift us out of 8 terribly long and painful years.

He was a man, read speeches passionately, told many what they wanted to hear without any sort
of history to contradict their great hopes about him.

The way Hilary was treated is the way many women in the workplace get treated.
Dissed for an "unknown" male quantity.

17. we already knew that Hillary was a died in the wool corporatist
and that we'd get nowhere with her. We didn't know if that was the case with Obama, but we do now.

So we didn't end up any the worse, just none the better eother. It was worth taking a gamble on.

So we have another New Democrat DLC corporate ass kissing apologist for them that's got. What's new?
