President Obama believes that progressives are being too hard on him for compromising with the Republicans on tax cuts for millionaires. Ed Schultz has something to say to the president that was elected under the mantle of “change”.

1. If we don't hold his feet to the fire, who will?

2. Campaigning on promises that you don't keep will lead to that....
Edited on Wed Dec-08-10 01:24 PM by BrklynLiberal
How about saving some of that anger and frustration for the repukes, who DIDN'T contribute to your campaign, who DIDN'T work their asses off to get you elected, who DIDN'T vote for you...and whose first priority is to make sure that you are a one term President.

It would seem that actions speak louder than words, and these actions tend to make me feel very disappointed, and not sure that I would believe anything said during a campaign in 2012.

3. 2012 will be irrelevant
Chances are that Obama will have a challenge, the challenger will win the primary but lose the election since they always do. If a democrat does beat Obama in the primary, the Dems are too disillusioned to get psyched about voting like they were in 2008. Even if the perfect candidate were nominated, we would all have that little voice in our head saying "The last guy promised us the moon and gave away the farm. How do we believe this guy?"

4. I think that was a reasonable summary of what will happen. However,
as long as the Democrats make their candidate viable, I think they will have a better showing. Course, depending on what happens in the next two years, 2012 could very well be the last American election.

6. I am sick of Ed
He doesn't allow for any act that deviates from his most cherished thoughts. He doesn't allow for a difference of opinion from his view.I am not ready to throw Obama to the wolves because of this stinky tax plan. Do you want the taxes on everyone to go up? how about the unemployed? No one seems to be calling the republicans out at all. They are devious and obnoxious don't blame Obama totally for the dilemma we are in. The news media has played up this as a Obama failure and not a republican greedy act. The media doesn't like him and as Mika said this am, that sound bites from the repuks never get mentioned no matter how harsh they get. It surprised me that she hit the nail on the head. I cannot vote for republicans no matter what. They are aware that some democrats are not stable enough to get mad at them.

7. You forget...
How much people like Ed and KO came in defense of Obama when he was fresh meat. Now he's seasoned enough to know wtf is going on in his backyard. I like most others aren't afraid to hear the truth for what it is. Obama is F$%#ing Up, and anything that happens from here on out till his term ends, I point the finger squarely at his ass.

8. Recommended.
Obama takes it for granted that his base will turn out to vote for him in 2012. Good luck with that.

10. I threw away my Obama/Biden sign yesterday.
I had kept it next to my kitchen door since the election.

I don't need it anymore.
