1. I'm sure we can compromise with someone like Thune.

I mean yes, I know we would want to do everything we can to extend the health and life of these people for many, many years. But maybe if we reach out to Republicans like Thune we can agree to only extend their health and life for, let's say....10 years. Maybe that would be a good compromise and they'll meet us in the middle.

2. The Daily Show last night was really good - 9/11 Responders

Stewart had on several first responders and had a really good conversation with them. He has had a couple of shows in the last week lambasting congress and namely the republican for not taking care of these people.

People they were so willing to exploit for the last 9 years and have now thrown under the bus.
