5. K&R
Of course they're attempting to make this about Julian Assange in the belief tat people won't pay attention to the leaks. Classic misdirection ploy that the US is renowned for because they KNOW the level of gullibility of their audience.

- Duh......

6. Transcript! And K&R
Announcer: The David Pakman Show at www.DavidPakman.com.

David Pakman: Welcome to The David Pakman Show. I'm David Pakman. Of course, producer Louis Motamedi is here. New behind the scenes with producer Louis is up on our YouTube channel. People are interested, Louis, in where you get your clothes, and people seem fascinated by what it is that you do on the show.

Louis Motamedi: Well, I'm a producer.

David: So check that out on our YouTube channel. People really just up in arms about every little detail about Louis. Louis, you have also more and more gentlemen who are interested in, you know, seeing if you would be interested in maybe being gay or bisexual or, you know, there's just a lot of different propositions and proposals available to you.

Louis: Interesting. Very interesting.

David: Julian Assange has been released. He has been bailed out, and he is obligated to stay at a friend's mansion. He has to check in sometime between I think it's 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. UK time. And he actually gave a brief, I guess we could call it a statement or a speech, when he came out. Let's take a listen to just a little bit of what he said.

Julian Assange: Well, it's great to smell the fresh air of London again. First, some thank yous to all the people around the world who have had faith in me, who have supported my team while I've been away, to my lawyers, who have put up a brave and ultimately successful fight, to our sureties and people who provided money in the face of great difficulty and aversion.

David: All right. So there's Julian Assange, fresh out of jail. And you know what's interesting, Louis, we're getting a lot of actual new stuff now from Wikileaks, and if at first there was any question about the value and how important it is to be seeing some of this stuff, which to us there was not but to some people there was, now it is becoming more and more clear, just this is a gold mine of incredibly valuable information on a number of fronts.

Louis: For example?

David: Well, all of the stuff we've already gotten, to start with, but the new stuff that's come out, number one...

Louis: Sounds like you know some specifics.

David: There's this new cable which shows that 18 months before Deepwater Horizon, another BP-owned well had a similar blowout in Azerbaijan. So very similar situation, and again, had we known that then, would there have been more of a push for the $500,000 item that could've prevented the blowout, the valve blowout off the coast of the Gulf of Mexico?

Louis: Who know? Maybe.

David: Another one: Wikileaks cable reveals that a U.S. cable lied about Michael Moore's "Sicko" being banned in Cuba. So let me explain this. This is a classic case of telling the boss what he wants to hear. Wikileaks found a cable which asserted that Michael Moore's documentary "Sicko", which we've talked about extensively on this show, was banned in Cuba. The idea of this was to make American diplomats happy that it was being banned anywhere. It turns out it wasn't the case, it was just a flat-out lie. It is a classic case of just appeasing.

So what's interesting here is that the American media's going nuts about Julian Assange and it's all becoming much more about him than about the content of the cables, nobody would deny that at this point.

Louis: Right.

David: His personal story has completely overshadowed the actual content of the cables, which, by the way, that's the important thing. Let's talk about the content of the cables. And it's made, the argument's that he is dangerous and that everything we're finding out here is just a big wreck, we're finding out that a lot of these cables were written by people looking to make the bosses happy, that they weren't even true. This is a cable that just was not true. "Sicko" was not banned in Cuba. Is this not even more evidence, Louis, that the idea of Wikileaks is making people flip out above and beyond the actual content of a lot of these cables?

Louis: Well, I guess so, apparently, but do you think that this was the plan, to make Julian Assange the cover story here?

David: A distraction. Right, absolutely. The issue has switched from the content of the cables to Julian Assange. And there's an incredible video, and if you want to... if you really want shocking but incredibly valuable evidence of how important some of these leaked cables are and leaked information, go on YouTube and look up Ethan McCord. There's about a 15-minute or 12-minute clip, and Ethan McCord is validating, he was actually one of the soldiers involved in one of the videos that was released, a U.S. helicopter military video where civilians and children are killed ad hoc, a van shows up hoping to rescue some people who were injured in, I believe this was in Iraq, and very clear, just, 'Let's kill these guys,' asking permission to engage, and this guy McCord, who was a soldier, he actually talks about how absurd the situation was.

That story would not be out in the open if it were not for Wikileaks. And we need to know, Louis, that these types of things are going on. Forget about it's bad for the-- the military gets sad if we don't agree with the mission, you're not patriotic... come on, it's pathetic.

Louis: Our government thinks we don't need to know about it.

David: That's right, they do. And if you look up Ethan McCord and see the journalists and children that are killed in a van that's coming up to pick up the wounded, come on, Julian Assange is the story here? Joe Biden also now flip-flopping on Wikileaks. This is what he said most recently about the effect of Wikileaks, let me play it for you.

Joe Biden: This guy has done things that have damaged and put in jeopardy the lives and occupations of people in other parts of the world. He's made it more difficult for us to conduct our business with our allies and our friends, for example, in my meetings, you know I meet with most of these world...

David: All right, so hold on a second, Joe Biden, Vice President Joe Biden, that's not what you said just days ago to Andrea Mitchell. You didn't tell her that it was making things more difficulting, that it was having damaging effect. You didn't say that at all. And we have the video, Joe. We've got the video. It's not like he can pretend it didn't happen, right?

Louis: Let's see.

Andrea Mitchell: So there's no damage?

Biden: I don't think there's any da-- I think there's any substantive damage, no. Look, some of the cables that are coming out here and around the world are embarrassing, I mean, you know, to say that, you know, for you to do a cable as an ambassador, "I don't like Biden's tie, he doesn't look good in it. He's probably... he's a homely guy."

Mitchell: I never said that.

Biden: That's not something... No, I know you didn't. I know you didn't. But you know what I mean, you know, there's sort of a lot of things like that, but nothing that I'm aware of.

David: OK. Very clear there, Louis, a flip-flop from Joe Biden. Why all the confusion about Wikileaks? I mean, why is everybody so confused? Joe Biden's confused. There's damage, there's no damage, it's about Julian Assange, dead or alive, we need Julian Assange. What's going on? It's all about Assange now.

Louis: I guess so.

David: And by the way, why is the mainstream media so angry about the cables, the fake anger, in many cases you can tell it's fake anger.

Louis: Fake anger, right.

David: But they are really, I mean, formally, they are against this. This is very simple, ladies and gentlemen. This is an issue of the media doesn't want access revoked, to the people like Joe Biden, for example, or other diplomats involved, or Hillary Clinton, and they have been neutered. The mainstream media has been neutered by this, Louis. They're going out and saying, 'Oh, Julian Assange is bad,' and, 'This is terrorism,' and, 'These leaks are bad.' It's all because they don't want access revoked. When they call up Joe Biden for an interview, wait a second, CNN, didn't you say that you supported Wikileaks and what they're doing? We're not having Joe Biden on. You're not getting the president.

All we're hearing about now, Julian Assange and... there's not even talk of the leaks. It's pathetic, Louis. I mean, it seems...

Louis: And I don't think it's because Julian Assange is good for ratings.

David: Well, no, it probably is at this point.

Louis: I don't know. I don't want to hear about it.

David: The government and the mass media have both been complicit, ladies and gentlemen, in diverting attention.

Louis: But at the same time, it's not like these outlets are going to rifle through 250,000 cables.

David: Louis, Louis, listen, if we have a team of a handful of people here and we can go through, these things are being released slowly. The mainstream media can't get it together to talk about what's being released? Instead it's, 'Julian Assange is a bad guy'? I can't even read this stuff, Louis. You don't seem as angry about it as I do.

Louis: I'm not angry. It's a little bit annoying, but...

David: I mean, when I read these quotes of what is being said here...

Louis: This is what we'll do. When we get our hands on leaked cables, we'll read them, and that's probably the best we can do.

David: Right. I'm not even going to read these, because I mean, these quotes are pathetic. I'm not even going to read them. Let's move on.

Louis: Whoa. Take it easy.

David: By the way... Oh, here's a-- we'll talk about this on the bonus show, the treatment that Bradley Manning is getting in prison, the guy who allegedly released, or stole a lot of these cables, or gave them to Wikileaks. We'll talk about it on the bonus show. It's unbelievable. If you're frustrated by what's going on on the mainstream media, just you wait.

OK, let's move on, Louis, because tensions are clearly running high in here.

7. And he has just proven why the world needs Wikileaks and
more of them. The press IS neutered and the treatment of Assange proves why our own journalists, even when they have information, are afraid to publish it.

However, if they backed each other up. If one had the guts to ask the right questions and others followed up, it would be much harder to silence the media.

The uproar over Wikileaks is because the PTBs thought they had everything under control here, and now they see a news organization that is not under their control, and they are lying and smearing and doing everything they can to control it.
