I thought about not mocking her out of fear of giving her any credibility... But I also figured that anyone watching the show PROBABLY didn't hear her quote and think "Boy, she sure makes sense!"

Ironic, isn't it? Schlafly is a shrill harridan who cannot stop blasting our LGBT brethren, despite the fact that her oldest son is gay. Note, too, that her son, John, came out in 1992, but we seldom hear anything about him.

BTW, I saw Sarah Weddington debate Phyllis Schlafly in the early 90s. Ms. Weddington was funny, knowledgeable, and quite diplomatic with Schlafly, who was--true to form--bitterly accusatory and rude.
