1. I remember when her Highness

visited Seattle in the 80's during her around the world royal yacht tour. The Navy virtually closed Puget Sound (refereed to as "the" Puget Sound only by corporate television hacks imported from California). Fighters from McChord and Whidbey Island streaked overhead. Downtown Seattle was like an occupied city: Interstate 5 was closed. Streets were lined with cops in riot gear. Snipers were on the roofs.

Her Highness dined at an elite downtown hotel. A diplomatic flap ensued when the Mayor inadvertently touched the royal personage on their way to brunch.

At the Seattle Art Museum, where her majesty went to observe a display of Japanese art, a restroom was remodeled (as one had been at the hotel earlier) so the royal bottom would not suffer the indignity of sitting on a potty previously used by a commoner. A special, heated toilet seat was installed for her majesty's comfort.

The Royal entourage had arrived in the late morning and was back on its way to visit other colonial possessions by late afternoon. Cost to the taxpayers in 1980 dollars was about $80 million.

2. The old lady needs to stay home and keep to her knitting!

Don't you just love how these aristocracy, in our country as well, love to share their appreciation for us little people to shed our blood and life so they can be safe and sound in their little "disneyworlds"?

Sorry...zero respect for this old bag and her clan. Have no time for them. Don't mean to insult what the British think are "royals", but they are just humans that haven't a clue of what the real world is like...and they can allow them to go on with it if they like. As for me...I don't need to hear from them. Let them play inside their walls, and keep their thoughts inside their family.
