1. Russia Today = National Enquiror meets Faux News on sterods
Disregard this stuff. It's simply the Kremlin's mouth piece.
Utter garbage!

I've got them here in Croatia, too. It's not worth your time.

2. Given the fact that the Kremlin hasn't existed for the last 20 years......
I would have to conclude that you're the one whom I should disregard.
Utter Garbage!

6. Eeeh..ok? The Kremlin is gone?
The Russians will be interested in hearing that, I think. Any idea who took it?

And the DeSwiss is right. Russia Today is to Putin as Fox News is to Karl Rove.

If the name did not give it away, it only takes about ½ a days viewing of it to understand whats going on.

Its a propaganda tool.

7. Why would anyone need convincing?

You cannot see that RT is official Russian propaganda? Really?

They might be right in this particular instance, but that does not change that they are Putins tool.

Always view them through that lens.

Every crackpot that has something bad to say about the US can get half an hours show on that channel. Completely overlooking that they end up working for a government that is infinitely worse than the one they are critizising.

17. Hey, look over there!!!
Even Fox news occasionally reports the truth on matters. The fact reamains, regardless of what you think of RT, that we have a Corporate Media.

12. Excuse me, but where did you see me support CNN or Fox?
I think you must have missed something. RT = Kremlin mouth piece does NOT equal : I love the media. A spade is still a spade.

You can read and believe what is in the New York Post for all I care. It's a "relatively" free world still.

5. Kicked and Fucking Recommended!
This is the story, people.

This should be our primary focus. Forget abortion rights, workers rights, gay rights, outsourcing, environmental degradation and every other single issue. Without a REAL media we have no means to get our voice of truth to the citizenry. All focus should be on correcting the media monopolies before it is too late.

Too many of us are lolled into a sense of complacency because of internet freedom. Internet freedom can end tomorrow!

16. ALL media needs to be taken with the "consider the source" proviso.
This RT story seems right on the point to me,. the media is controlled by a couple of giant corporations with greed/control agendas,. RT is a tool of Putin? OK, if you say so,. and it is also a great counterpoint to CNN and the networks in the U.S. Also, why attack the source of a report without even mentioning the message of the report? Agenda of yours??

covering this story as soon as they gave time to Alex Jones! They took a serious story & made a complete & utter joke of it! Turned it into Kremlin propaganda!

22. Alex Jones works for the Kremlin?
I agree Jones has little credibility, being often pron to spout loads of crap, however sometimes he is correct as well. In this video he talks about the subject at hand and seems to give decent analysis regarding media control and ownership. How exactly does a rightwing-libertarian-fundy work for the Kremlin?
