1. We need a strong, real Democrat to challenge Obama in 2012..

Social Security is the issue that could elect a very liberal Democrat. I will never forget the voter I met in a conservative (and very Catholic) area of Ohio when I was walking precincts in 2008. She said "I'm trying to decide between the babies and Social Security.") Obama won because just enough conservative independents thought he would protect Social Security. If he waivers on that, the babies will get more votes than he will.

change social security they would not have agreed to a reduction in FICA contributions.
