On Monday, Feb. 7, 2011, Peace and Justice activist Ralph Nader ripped President Barack Obama for his "anti-union stroll" across Lafayette Park to meet this morning with the "corporate barons" in the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. His comments came at sidewalk rally hosted by the National Nurses United/California Nurses Association and "other friends of Labor." The demonstration was staged just north of Lafayette Park, in Washington, D.C. 2. From the man who handed Bush Florida in 2000, who cares what his views are.
I was done with debating Nader's merits on this board in 2001.

12. You're must be referring to Scalia...
..and his goons.

Gore won Florida.

I can't believe anyone still blames Nader.

15. Nader knew it was close and would draw votes from Gore
And he also knows the Republicans donate to his campaigns only because he is a spoiler. You should and probably do know that many DU'ers that are still here from 2001 share my opinion.

24. I happen to believe anyone qualified should be allowed to run.
I also totally agree with 99% of anything I've ever heard Ralph Nader say.

I don't care how many long-time DUers share your opinion. The US Supreme W. Court stopped the vote counting and appointed the chimp. Ralph Nader had nothing to do with it.

31. Gore lost his own state of Tennessee
I don't blame Nader for Gore's loss - the only vote that Gore lost was Sandra Day OConnor's.

The Democratic Party should have stood behind Gore rather than legitimizing a coup and a crime syndicate.

32. Gore won - the election was stolen by the Gang of 5 on the SC --
Edited on Mon Feb-07-11 11:57 PM by defendandprotect
it was also stolen by now Chief Justice Roberts who worked with the Bush gang

and helped organize the fascist rally to stop the vote counting in Miami-Dade County

mandated by the Florida State Supreme Court. With near-violence at the Miami-Dade

Counting Election HQs, they did succeed in stopping the vote counting, without any

interference with their actions from the Florida police. 180,000 votes never counted!

We also recall that the LARGE computers give MSM the ability now to PREDICT and CALL

elections -- WINNERS and LOSERS -- to CALL ELECTORAL COLLEGE VOTES -- and the WINNERS

of those votes by STATE --

And, in 2000 we simply saw the reversal of those computer predictions/powers as

Jon Ellis/Fox RECALLED the state of Florida from Gore.

Bush allegedly won Florida by 537 votes --

How do you suggest that those 537 votes came from Nader and not from the

300,000 "Democrats" in Florida who voted for Bush?

Or from the 3,000+ illegal butterfly ballot votes which went to Buchanan?

Or from the 600 illegal military ballots counted for Bush?

Or from the tens of thousands of other votes which went to other third parties?

Both Republicans and Democrats prefer that no one actually call 2000 what it actually

was -- A STOLEN ELECTION!!

Edited on Tue Feb-08-11 12:04 AM by defendandprotect
-- both of which he made private back room deals with!

Add that up and what you get is NO Universal Health Care for Americans!!

Democrats were especially eager to offer Nader as a scapegoat just because of the

frequent honest criticism he has made of them and their corporate paymasters!

No one has more earned the trust of the American people than Nader --

46. he made a great speech to the c of c- reminded them of their responsibilities to workers
he pressured them to do more for workers- that the middle class needs to have more of a stake in the profits now being reaped by corporations- that jobs shoouldn't be offshored etc...and he charmed them. Excellent politics and persuasion. Nader must not have listened to the speech and just called him out for just meeting with them. how shallow, ignorant and stupid on his part.

but Gore won the 2000 election -- and that's a bit of information neither the

Republicans nor the Democrats want you to understand.

21. Jeez.....

The people still blaming Nader for Gores loss are too invested in the fantasy that there is a difference between Dems and Repubs. And they're too young to remember the battles he fought against the corporations that gave ordinary citizens extraordinary power as consumers.

I really wish they would either educate themselves on the concept of public interest or if that is too difficult, on the recent history of the 2000 election.

True progressives understand what he is doing and would probably agree that Ralph Nader is one of the greatest Americans....ever.

Thanks for this video.
