Several Unions and supporters rallied at the Capitol building in Atlanta to show support for their fellow union members in Wisconsin.

DUer lame54 and I were also in attendance, to show our support for Wisconsin Unions

1. Excellent
Thanks for this! I'm a Wisconsinite living in Athens and really wanted to know how it went today in Atlanta.

3. Your Welcome
We are also transplants, moved to Marietta from Dana Point, California. There was a small counter rally of about 40 to 50 people (tea party). The capital police made them move down and across the street. Not sure how big the union rally was, it look to be about 500 maybe more.

2. I saw something somewhere that armed teabaggers were going there to disrupt.
Did that happen?

5. No
There were about 30 maybe 40 teabaggers. They started on the same side about five feet away. Mostly yelling how the unions were bankrupting the taxpayers, lazy etcetera. The Capitol police made them move, so they were across the street and down one more street from the Capitol Building

7. Loved the sign: Tea Parties are for little people - GROW UP!
Fantastic visibility on that busy street. Looks like it could grow...way to go, Atlanta!
