Republicans want a dumb majority who won't remember history and won't understand what's happening to them. I also agree with Cenk, they don't want wealthy and successful people. The poorer people are, the better.

1. Well if people actually studied history they would know that the way the Catholic church

ruled Europe for so long was only the rich and educated could read bibles as everything was wrote in Latin. The simple, uneducated peons had to take the church and rich word that god wanted them to serve them. Also remember uneducated people throughout history believed and acted on some pretty dumb ideals, like witches made milk go bad or made cows go dry, oh and any acts of nature were seen as signs from god that the end times were coming.

2. Those were times when only religious views dominated...now the threat

is this countries ability to compete with foreigners and the simple ability of making a living.
