it just goes to show you that you can become immersed in a KGB/Stasi type of tyranny/totalitarianism regardless of the predominant "ism" that your country paints on the walls around you.
Perhaps they fear the American people so much that this is not a good time to let go of a valuable tool for control and containment? After all, many people are becoming aware of the nature of the game being played and who wouldn't expect that to boil over as it not only continues, but increases in scope and magnitude.
Yeah, I would think of the Patriot Act as a necessary side-step around that pesky Constitution in order to assure that the rise of corporatism could proceed unhindered by rights and the citizenry. If I were them, I would laugh in the backrooms/boardrooms about the name of the act while be thankful that there would be no impediments to the complete ownership and control of the planet by the few who claim it theirs.
So, when they warn you about the terrorists and what a threat they are to you every single day of your life, (watch-out, they are hiding in your garbage can) keep in mind that the war on that word is intentionally vague about who it refers to. If you fight back at all, ever, even peaceably, you could very well be a terrorist and subject to a lawless trip to hell, or maybe, even disappeared -- you unexist. Perfectly legal, not by the Constitution, but by the Un-Patriotic Act foisted upon you "for your own good" and safety, (whose?) and protection, (whose?)
Look to history and our Forefathers could be used as an example. They did not politely beg the Crown for their independence and, so, terrorist is a word that is most often defined by those who have something invested or to lose. While there are some actual groups and people who resort to terrorism to force change, there are those who use the word to enforce the Status Quo. We are living in a time where the tools are in place to remove liberty and freedom from our grasp, potentially forever. What do we do?
