Poor Sean. He works so hard that he forgot to mention the most important thing of all: Make promises ("Sure, I'll get waterboarded for charity") and then weasel out of them like a motherfucking coward.

12. Listening to his propaganda makes my skin crawl.
Hannity is earning far more than he deserves at faux, and he says the "serfs" should be working in the fields. What fields is he referring to in cities? Where are the jobs? In his stupid delusion there are all these 40 hour jobs laying around with no American interested in working them. If I watched his show for more than just a sick clip at a time, I would become physically ill.

4. Uh, Sean, many people do want to work and their aren't enough jobs.
Then the jobs that r out there don't pay a living wage or so little that the person qualifies for govt programs.. And then there is a segment of our population that is too young, too old, or is handicapped that cannot work. Where do they go? Into prison? Or do we just leave them out in the streets like we do for far too many, even now. What a dick!!!

And exactly how Christian is it to only take are of the wealthy? Where is that section in his Bible? I'd really like to know what crazy version of that book he is reading... Selfish prick.

11. Oh christ, who can even listen to that football-field jaw?
Fox has got to be the weakest, most insipid channel on TV. A station that phones in Koch-brothers-ready talking points and disguises it as news without any substantial, correct and vocal rebuttal of them isn't a Fourth Estate - it's PRAVDA. Each and every single ONE of the parasites in Sean's class depends on Government largesse . . . from corporate welfare to mercenary armies to run-of-the-mill social services to miles-beyond-need tax breaks and grants. Even the Koch brothers themselves are beneficiaries of corporate welfare - how does anyone think their dirty businesses are run?

Sean's a pissweak, whiny little joke who has not a fly-speck's worth of any kind of talent other than salesmanship.

14. "I will work harder!"
- George Orwell, Animal Farm.

Boxer was the biggest and strongest animal on the farm. He was gentle and he was kind. "I will work harder," was his answer to every problem. When his health gave out the pigs sold him for a case of booze, because "ALL ANIMALS ARE EQUAL, BUT SOME ARE MORE EQUAL THAN OTHERS"- George Orwell, Animal Farm.

On the farm the animals were forced to work themselves to death rather than sit around and starve in idleness after their barn had been repossessed. I think maybe that is a distinction without a difference.

16. Maybe we should all just eat less.
Or maybe stop eating, period.

I'm going to start saying it over and over until I get a response- Conservatives have trouble recognizing cause and effect. It's like they've all had a stroke. They cannot see how one thing is connected to another in a way that has a direct effect on the present situation.

19. Some of them long for the 'good old days' when people had
secure jobs, inflation was almost non-existent, prices were stable, anyone could have a job and manage to get by. The only 'good old days'(economically) I only knew of were during the 40s'50s' and possibly up until the present. Now we are experiencing continual inflation without rising work compensation, unavailable jobs. Before the advent of the FDR administration life was a struggle for the common person to get along and still have a modicum of the'finer things in life' and during the 1800s life was even a harder struggle.
What has changed our economical life is the depletion of banking/corporate regulations that were set forth during FDR's administration. Republican power has managed to strip away those regulations and left us with dog eat dog, free wheeling economics. The Republican agenda is to take this country back to pre-Great Depression times when government was not involved in our social interests. Joe and Jane Dokes should bone up on our political history and beware the GOP agenda tht is only for those who struggle to pull themselves 'up by their bootstraps'. Taking away social progression that the US government has provided will send up back to those 'good old days' of the 1800s and early 1900s.

21. I think most people, on both sides, are missing something crucial.
World population is double what it was when I was in high school. And resources are probably at a point where shortly we're going to be seeing the results of our demands upon this planet. There was a time, as you mentioned, when life was good. It was a mixture of cheap energy, and of the other resources. Things don't look different to most people because they live in a house on a street. But for people who get around and live in the country, it is so obvious that we're in deep trouble that I have to wonder what is going to happen in the next few decades. We are totally dependent upon commercial agriculture now. I could tell stories of the places i've been that used to support our people with food. Those places are gone. There are no fish in the streams on the west coast.

I"m tired of continually bringing this up. I sound like a broken record. But if people think things are rough now, they're not going to get any easier in terms of resources. Photovoltaics and wind are the exception. But food of the quality that makes for healthy living is not.

points you have outlined. Times have changed in so many ways and the points you bring up have not been seriously addressed, especially in the US. The US has not utilized our tremendous resources in a conservative manner and neglected to retain our ability to be independent. At one time this nation had the ability to be completely self-sufficient with the wonderful resources we had at hand.

22. What pisses me off the most about these right-wing idiots
Edited on Sat Aug-13-11 07:49 PM by We_Must_Organize
is that they always talk about the America they grew up in - as if it were a conservative's dream. Just as Hannity said, John Boehner said "Obama is destroying the America I grew up in." These fucking idiots forget to mention that even as late as the 1970's the top marginal tax rate was more than 70%, the financial industry was heavily regulated, and over 30% of Americans were in labor unions. THESE ARE THINGS PROGRESSIVES WANT! I am constantly amazed at the revisionist history that "conservatives" spin. Our economic philosophy has become increasingly more conservative over the last 30 years with numerous tax cuts that overwhelmingly benefit a fraction of the population. And I don't know this for a fact, but just like Ronald Reagan's parents, I bet Hannity's grandparents were receiving either government employment/assistance during the Great Depression. Sean just say what you want - a plutocracy where the working class has no rights, legal means of recourse, or environmental protections all so you can have MORE.

23. It’s utterly amazing the type of claptrap these two slugs are talking.
I spend 35 years working as a professional engineer, did my military service, spend 15 years going to night school (while working a full time job) to earn my degree. I have lived my life as a taxpaying law abiding citizen of the U.S. of A. Ever single paycheck I earned over the last 50 years has seen Uncle Sam’s hand in my wallet. The Feds took that money with the promise that it would be there when I retired. I am not an entitlement junkie but instead one pissed off senior citizen that has become political active and when the time comes I shall be on the picket line shutting this county down on the likes of these two maggot bottom feeders.
