1. Once Bear Sterns fell, Lehman followed.
Edited on Tue Oct-04-11 05:10 PM by Dawson Leery
The only problem is that the corrupt Bush administration via Hank Paulson interviened on behalf of the corrupt banksters to bail them out.

Once Lehman fell, BoA was next, followed Morgan Stanley, JP Morgan, AIG, and the last Goldman Sachs.
These parasites needed to disappear.

5. He is overstepping his authority. As a sitting legislator, he should not be trying to tell
people where they should or should not do business. If his statements work, and cause BOA to lose business, they might be able to sue him. Besides, Durbin's hands are not clean on this matter, either.

8. Balony. It's not an order, it's an opinion - free speech.

9. Durbin has nothing to worry about -- unless telling customers that they are being unnecessarily
gouged isn't the truth. What would be BofA's defense? Their loss of business would be the result of their own doing; $5.00/monthly is a lot to pay for a lot of people, especially on a tight budget.
