Local Portland affiliate FOX news reporter talks of solidarity with the people of Occupy Portland. The comments below the video at Youtube are full of angry, even hateful insults from the right wing. According to one post local right wing radio talk show host Lars Larson is trying to organize a movement against her. Take a look, and, if you feel so moved, write something nice.

6. You are correct, or at least that's what I heard

I live in pdx and am part of occupation as supporter/marcher/etc.

I was actually shocked and awed by this FOX station's reporting of how the '
open v. close MAIN St. issue came down here, where 8-12 strident occupiers
insisted on sitting down in Main St. to block traffic, while the rest of
the occupation issued statement distinguishing between this tiny minority
of the occupation and the rest (like 95%) wanting to reopen the street as
a gesture of community-mindedness and cooperation with the 99% who need it
to drive to/from work, emergency vehicles, etc. ... and low and behold,
that was EXACTLY how it was reported on this FOX affiliate -- but they are
not owned by FOX, so they have lots of autonomy, and are using it to be
at least fair, if not supportive, of the occupation.

But it shows why this movement has been so successful, they have struck a chord that most people can relate to.
