In her first television interview following Clarence Thomas confirmation hearings, Anita Hill defended her testimony and discussed her hopes for progress of all women to Ed Bradley. (From the Feb. 2, 1992 60 Minutes.)

And it's been nearly 20 years since Oct. 15, 1991, when the Senate narrowly confirmed Thomas 52-48. Many southern Democrats voted with Republicans to confirm Thomas. Republican senators Jim Jeffords (later a Democrat) and Bob Packwood voted with Democrats against Thomas.
