The American Cancer Society turned down a half a million dollar donation from a secular group (atheists, agnostics, etc.) known as the Foundation Beyond Belief. Ana Kasparian and Jayar Jackson discuss on The Young Turks.

1. Hmmm... I guess they don't need my donation each year either if they are
doing so well they just blow off a half million dollar donation.

2. Has religion cured cancer?
Or was it that godless science ?

What a bunch of crap! Especially since the Salvation Army or the Catholic Church could spare tenfold that amount to help with research and not even miss it.

3. Probably because it's the "American" Cancer Society.
So it has to do ridiculous non-sensical things to keep it's moniker.

They need to just donate the $$ to an international group or one in Europe then.
