2. Batman is definitely republican
He's a vigilante obsessed with vengeance, doesn't care about criminals' constitutional rights, etc. The only reason right-wingers don't embrace him is because he's too big a wimp in their eyes to use a gun.

Frank Miller's, "The Dark Knight Returns," pretty much portrays him as such.

"Kingdom Come," however, shows him initially controlling Gotham through fear (as well as an army of Bat-robots) and aligning himself with other giants of technology from Luthor, Ted Kord, etc. to hold the latest generation of super-powered youngsters as well as Superman's organization at bay, but in the end, he turns Wayne Manor into a hospital to treat victims of the war that ultimately results, giving out FREE HEALTHCARE!!!

4. The Problem with Batman. . .
. . . is that he is constantly being changed. 1960's Batman is NOT the same as the 1990's. They're always re-imagining him.
