4. Can someone who knows baseball answer me this?
I know jack shit about baseball but i saw a game in Seattle a long time ago. The 7th inning strech was YMCA. Everyone was dancing around being goofy.

How it seems like its God Bless America, both in St Louis and Austin. Has the 7th inning stretch too been turned into an amerigasm?

11. The Serious answewr is not about God...
The real answer is it has been that way ever since baseball resumed after 9/11. Seventh inning stretch used to just be about getting people up and out of their seats for a bit, and ostensibly that is still what is supposed to be but his God Bless America as THE song is only ten years old and man to I wish it would go away. Not just because it's nothing to do with base ball...but because I am TIRED of the constant mourning. I think we could afford to have public events where we aren't constantly asked to grieve.

19. I was at the Titans game with a European friend last night
When the national anthem was played with fireworks and the whole thing, and the fighter jets flew overhead, he looked completely bemused.

He asked me what the air force has to do with the national anthem, he could not understand how the two were connected in any way. That made me realize that very few countries, at least democracies, has such a strong and automatic connection between patriotism and military force.

Kinda made me a bit depressed.

yes yes yes i KNOW she looks like Katy Perry but whatever

and I wish SOMEONE at the stadium could pull off a citizen's arrest or try to, that'd be AWESOME...WHY is this brat still chilling at Rangers games not answering to the justice department or the hague, there's a reason I was rooting for the Detroit Tigers (besides how I lived in Ann Arbor when I was a little kid so I have some ties to SE Michigan). Oh I'm primarily a Giants fan since I'm now in Northern California. And the Giants beat the Rangers in last year world series.

14. Why do they want to taint baseball with the presence of this slime?
The fact that he can't throw a ball and the covering up of the booing are like a metaphor for his whole God-forsaken maladministration. Talk about "bush league"!

Amazing that we're forced to kowtow to the idea that it was all just one big disagreement with Bush and co., and we're all friends now.
