It seems the media have changed their behaviour against Obama.
I was watching the Today Show this morning and I could not believe how insulting David Gregory was against Obama, while Meredith Viera was so nice with Clinton (I know her husband supports Clinton, but still).

I find that very concerning because it is clear that Obama will be now presented in all the negative terms of the Clinton campaign.

1. I think the Party has to step up now
If they have any sense and know that Hillary spells doom for Democrats, they will do what John Kerry has been doing all along and step forward to speak loudly and continuously for Obama. I saw a clip of Claire McCaskill doing this yesterday on MSNBC and people like John Lewis and Sen. Rockefeller mean a lot. Superdelegates have to start publicly changing their allegiance (if they have the guts) and big Dem names have to come out (Edwards? Gore?) and endorse if they truly care about their Party.

This is a fight for the future and for the real Democratic Party vs. the Clinton/DLC wing. I compare it to the Republican party which was taken over by neocons. Let's hope our leaders have some common sense.:dem:

2. I 100% agree
I kept thinking the same thing over and over again last night. I hope they will, and take the gloves off (so that Obama can keep his on, kind of). They should come out and denounce the fear-mongering and destruction of the party from within. In view of the last week, and how the throw the lead sink full of rat poison is considered to have "worked", I dare not even think of what else may happen during the next few months if this goes on. Unfortunately (please tell me I am wrong...), after last night, I doubt much will or can be done to stop this self-destructive roller coaster.

By the way, did you notice how in the list of states she won, she gloatingly included MI and FL? :puke:

3. That's been happening since SNL
somewhere along the line, they stopped showing the best of his speeches, the crowds, etc. The Clintons have media power, just as much as the Bush's do.

4. maybe in a weird way it helps Obama
If the media makes him the challenger again and HRC the frontrunner, won't his successes exceed expectations, while hers are diminished? Until finally they realize she's mostly hot air and can't win.

I expect the media will continue coronating HRC for two or three days at least. Then we'll see which way they are going to go. The more sober heads like Keith and Chuck Todd will be the exceptions.

5. If he figures out he has to fight the media
and figures out how to get around them, then that's a good thing for all of us. I honestly am just so disappointed in this country, that people would see that bright optimistic family and choose the surly cynical Clintons instead.

6. What's worse is that this amounts to calling in media favors with a quid pro quo
You think net neutrality is safe, with the media providing assists to Hillary? She will owe her friends in the media if she somehow manipulated the convention system and got to be president. All of the media reforms we have fought for will go down the drain.

7. If I could choose one message to send to every American voter
It would be this:

Don't get fooled again!

8. Keep the $$$ coming in for them
thats what its all about, if this thing was over they would lose a huge market share of viewers and so they are purposely trying to keep Hillary in the race.

Nothing we can do about it either so maybe Obama needs to have a spa weekend for the press like McCain did?? He sure has enough $$ to do so...
