Yet another article that shows how the Supreme Court has changed
There's been alot of talk lately about whether or not people would vote for Hillary Clinton, or stay home and not vote at all....

Well, if you don't want McCain, Romney, Giuliani, etc. making that next appointment, I would hope that people here vote for the Democrat (even if you have to hold your nose to do so, if it's a candiate you don't like), if for no other reason than to avoid another FAR-right justice being added to an ALREADY shifting Supreme Court, otherwise we'll all be

1. I will be a proud, enthusiastic and money giving supporter of
whomever the democratic party nominates. We don't need any more neanderthals on the supreme court. The fucking right wing "christian" morons are already trying to wheedle their way into our military leadership for god knows what reason, and we don't need our judiciary controlled by people who don't give a fuck about the constitution.

2. Elections have consequences
With the age issues surrounding Stevens and Ginsberg, if the GOP got to choose the next justices the Court could be lost for a generation.

3. Not just the Supremes...
All through the Federal courts we need to add jurists who aren't trying to turn the clock back to the 80s -- the 1880s.

4. You ASSUME that a pick by a DLCer will be a progressive
person, IMHO they will be the same as McCain, Romney, Giuliani would pick. Federalist :(

6. Well I believe NO Democrat will pick
justices like Roberts & "Hirohito" Alito...

Remember the first debate of the Democratic candiates, & I think the question was which justice do you admire, & several including Edwards said Ginsburg....Someone said Breyer...

A McCain, Romney, Giuliani pick would be someone who closer resembles Robert Bork...

7. well bill clinton
picked ginsberg and she is fairly liberal as is breyer. and souter was nominated by bush I and he ended up being liberal. Sandra Day O'Connor ended up being far more moderate than people thought she would be and she was nominated by reagan. sometimes you nominate someone to the court and they end up being something you didnt expect.

additionally bill clinton was a DLC candidate and he did a damn fine job as president and in picking his supreme court nominees.

8. That is a total, complete, and utter lie
Ginsburg and Bryer are the only two Democratic appointees on the current Supreme Court. They opposed both deadline decisions, they opposed the abortion decision, in every single, solitary 5 - 4 decision this term they were on the opposite side of Alito and Roberts. Shame on you for peddling this crap.
