Oh The Horror: Godless Money
It looks like hundreds of new John Adams dollar coins are missing the absurd but mandatory inscription, "In God We Trust". Yes, it's a mistake and the people responsible will be dealt with severely no doubt. It's safe to assume they'll be sent to Gitmo and tortured ruthlessly by blood-thirsty evangelical Blackwater "security" goons drunk on Jesus, and fat with multi-gazillion dollar no-bid contracts. After a year or so of that they'll be boiled in a cauldron of piss while being forced to watch reruns of the O'Reilly Factor.

4. "This would be the best of all possible worlds, if there were no religion in it!" ~John Adams
Edited on Wed Jun-20-07 03:30 AM by Hekate
One gets the feeling our Founding Fathers would approve of this omission.

5. What are you implying?
That the Founding Fathers where not a bunch of drooling, snake handling, booger-eating fundies, like Dobson, Rush, and O'Reilly and the rest of the value voters of Red State America? The shame.

7. Have no fear! Chuck Norris is here to save us!
(Warning: you may throw up if you read the whole of his article. Or laugh your ass off. It's difficult to predict an individual's reaction)

Eroding and erasing theistic language in culture is a growing trend. Earlier this year George Washington dollar coins were not only inscribed with the words "In God We Trust" on their edges, but many excluded them entirely! Such minting modifications are a flagrant defiance against theism and a public reflection of the place God is now relegated – to the fringes of society.

11. Chuck is a barral of laughs.
I was thinking, instead of "In God We Trust", how about, "We Kill For Oil"?

8. it is very appropriate to label money with reference to god --
since money is what is worshipped by so many--it IS god.
The Church of the Holy Cash Register is our national religion.

10. What did people do before "In God We Trust" was placed
on currency, it began intermittently during the Civil War, but was not official until the 50's, pushed by McCarthyites no less.

What the hell are these people woriied about money for anyway, it has become their god, and the God they profess to worship will take a pretty dim view on hat anyway. Besides, pushing for Armeggedon as they are, wtf do they need currency for, this whole situation is ridiculous....x(
