"Bush again vetoes embryo destruction"
Just wanted to show you this headline coming from, drumroll, please; Baptist Press. I just opened up my google home page and this was on the top of the 'in the news' links. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why a news organization would phrase it like that. Shoulda known better.

Bush again vetoes embryo destruction

Posted on Jun 20, 2007 | by Tom Strode

WASHINGTON (BP)--For the second time in less than a year, President Bush vetoed a bill June 20 that would have provided provide federal funds for stem cell research that destroys human embryos.

The president announced his rejection of the Stem Cell Research Enhancement Act in a White House ceremony in which he also disclosed the signing of an executive order to expand efforts to conduct ethical stem cell studies. Bush used the first veto of his presidency in July 2006 to nullify a similar bill.

"If this legislation became law, it would compel American taxpayers for the first time in our history to support the deliberate destruction of human embryos," Bush said at the White House event. "I made it clear to Congress and to the American people that I will not allow our nation to cross this moral line. Last year, Congress passed a similar bill. I kept my promise by vetoing it, and today I am keeping my word again."

The Senate will have first shot at a veto override, which requires a two-thirds majority, but supporters of the bill appear incapable of reaching that goal in both chambers.

1. In keeping with this news headline theme, how long do you suppose it will
be before we see:

"Bush lies, responsible for deaths of tens of thousands"

2. Its not a moral line
There is no mind present in an embryo. There is no person there. No brain. No cerebrum. You are hurting no one.

4. baptist minister fellates male prostitute - millions die
but research at focus on the family recently discovered that such activity by a bonafide minister for the cause of therapy is beneficial to mankind and the christian cause. One needs only to play a recorded copy of leviticus backwards to confirm this outstanding new finding. You can get your copy from FOF by sending $19.95 to James Dobson loves you, somewhere in Colorado. Praise the Lord!

7. You're killing me over here, I never thought of it that way. How
many millions have been killed by ministers in the news lately? What's the name of the minister who was in the news before the election and recently came out of rehab ungay? Billions killed from the sound of it.

9. which makes the headline
a blaitent lie-:nuke:

* isn't keeping the 'embryos' from being destroyed- he is removing any possible chance that something positive might come by the already doomed 'embryo'-

This isn't compassionate- it is just more of his selfish self-righteous garbage.

And is incredibly sad.

but the public doesn't seem to be listening.

peace,
blu

12. As opposed to "compel American taxpayers" -
to support the deliberate destruction of human post-embryos in an illegal war.
