Things are a changin'
I was just out shopping at Linens 'n Things. I was waiting to check out and next in line. It was taking a little time because the clerk was new and the asst. manager and manager were both in the area behind the counter to help her out. Another clerk went to the adjacent counter and said "I will take the next in line". The asst. manager gave me a nod. I picked up my purchase and turned to go over to the newly opened cash register. Suddenly from the back of the line (five people behind me) a woman came crashing through with her full cart and jumped the que to get in front of me (and everyone else in line).

I turned back and softly said to no one in particular 'Hmm, she must be a Republican". The clerk, asst. manager, and manager all heard me and got the giggles. They could not stop. Every time they looked at me I just gazed back as if I had no idea what was so funny. Which apparently was funny as well. Finally, while still giggling the manager said "I gotta go". The clerk said "Please don't - I need help cause I can't stop".

About that time the woman behind me in line tapped me lightly on the arm. I turned to her and she asked me what I had said. I hesitated and then repeated my comment. She started laughing, said "No doubt" and turned and passed it to the woman behind her, etc.

I finished my transaction and picked up my purchase to leave. As I stepped away I finally worked up the nerve to look back at the line behind me. The last woman in line caught my eye and in a loud voice said "And I bet she went to church this morning." Everyone burst out laughing and as I exited the store they were still making comments.

My guess, the line crasher had no idea what was going on.

6. Hilarious! Good thing she wasn't strapped.
In some parts of this country you, the clerk with the giggles and the store manager would've all been shot dead.

7. Great story..
My wife is about as unshy a person as you are likely to meet. (the exact opposite of myself)

Every time she goes to the gas station, she says in a very loud voice "thank you mr bush".

She has a few dirty looks cast her way but a lot more people nod their heads or even occasionally applaud..

9. They are changing.
Fewer and fewer people are defending bush everywhere I go.
Three or four years ago when I would mention impeachment pukes and even some dems would immediately go into attack mode. This seldom happens any more.I even hear pukes saying he has to go now.
Lately,I have been saying they should be tried for treason.Even this seldom gets pukes to rise to the bait.

Yes.These are better days.
