Rahm's Amendment Gets Voted Down
not sure exactly what the hell the amendment was since cheney said that he was, in fact, part of the executive branch (after he said he wasn't)

no one whispered the I word

and since cheney is now saying is IS part of the executive i'm not sure why this was even brought up--since it brings us back to square one: "go fuck yourself"

he'll continue to live in the shadows, continue to squirrel away secrets, and not turn over any information/documents, etc.

blah.

well, at least rahm had a little face time on the telly where i saw him smirking over this, and saying he wouldn't consider impeachment.

makes me wonder how many dicks we have in this scenario.

1. Did you watch the debate and vote?
It was quite satisfying actually. Despite the loss. And it embarasses the hell out of Dick.

4. I missed it.
How is it embarrassing if he got his way once again?

Not being sarcastic - I'm really interested.

2. Rahm's bone to activists and internet - he wants us to BELIEVE he cares about
good governance after being caught attacking us as 'goo-goos' too stupid to sit back and enjoy the rape of our constitution.

8. It was a great little piece of grandstanding
And he seems to have backed Cheney down. I still despise Rahm, but I have to give him a golf clap on this one. Well played.

10. Yeah I think you're right.
If I'm not misremembering didn't Rahm himself say that it was more or less a grandstand play. I don't think those were his exact words but something to that effect.

5. The voice vote said it was voted down but then he asked for a recorded vote
Did you see the tally on the recorded vote?

I'm at the point where I am thinking they are all fucking dicks, every last one of them, on both sides of the aisle. Sorry, I'm really frustrated right now and on the verge of just throwing my hands in the air and walking away. What do these assholes in the White House have to do in order for ANY fucking consequences to be applied????

12. DLC:
"This is why the DLC is dangerous. For all their claims of supposedly wanting to help Democrats, they employ people like Marshall Wittman who specifically try to undermine the Democratic Party, even if it means he has to publicly defecate out the most rank and easily-debunkable lies. They reguarly give credence to the right wing's agenda and its worst, most unsupportable lies. They are the real force that tries to make sure this country is a one party state and that Democrats never really challenge the Republicans in a serious way."

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/david-sirota/why-the-dlc-is-so-dangero_b_13640.html

"This was a vintage Democratic Leadership Council approach to intra-party disagreements -- turn the guns inward, attack internally. Without a doubt, the DLC is the most fundamentalist organization within the caucus, the most ideologically rigid, and the most destructive to the progressive cause."
