Dick "The Vampire" Cheney survived today's attempt by the US House to cut the funds he pisses away as a member of the Executive Branch of the Bush Crime Family. By a vote of 217-209 it was decided ol' Dick can continue living in his public housing, can continue plotting global death and destruction from his taxpayer-funded office, and can continue using our contributions to conduct his little entertainment events -- witch burnings, blood orgies, baby-eating contests and whatever else this centuries-old, cyborg freak engages in for "fun." Brrrrrrrrr.

Apparently we now have to give Rep. Rahm Emanuel (D-IL) credit for something other than running the Democratic Party's Congressional election efforts as nothing more than Republican lite. It was Rahm who introduced the legislation that would have cut off ol' Dick's water. (Blood?) And why not? The Vampire Man said he was a fourth branch of what remains of the US Government - a branch heretofore hidden deep in the dark spider-webby corners of the US Constitution, so deep in fact that no one had ever heard of it until ol' Dick made his announcement. So, ol' Dick will continue to get his $4.8 million executive office cash and his hysterical claims of being part of the legislative branch have congealed and disappeared like so much phlegm spit on the sidewalk on a hot summer afternoon.

Republicans denounced the effort to take away ol' Dick's allowance as political theater. Of course, Republicans suck, so such a profound and insightful conclusion comes as no surprise.

But, what of his claim that he still is exempt from all laws governing thuggery, lying, fraud, perjury, obstruction of justice and other various and sundry illegal attempts by made men in the Executive Branch who are working around the clock in their dark efforts to slide fascism down our throats? Yeah. That.

One answer: A resolution of the Bush Crime Family's deliberately manufactured "Constitutional Crisis" will now depend on the resoluteness of Sen. Patrick Leahy and Representative Henry Waxman. If these two Democrats maintain the pressure on Vampire Man this tawdry, cheesy display of ol' Dick's toxic narcissism will eventually land in front of the US Supreme Court where . . . wait a minute. It'll land in front of the Supreme . . . Court? Sammy The Fish? Fat Tony? John "Sneaky" Roberts? Clarence "Pubic Hair" Thomas?

Oh . . . never mind.

A protest march and rally called the Citizens Summit have been planned for Sunday, July 1st at 1:00pm
at the VILLAGE GREEN, which is located on Ocean Ave. in front of the Captain Lord Mansion. Speakers
include: David Swanson, founder of “After Downing Street” and attorney John Kaminski, president of
Maine Lawyers for Democracy as well as Melida and Carlos Arredondo, of Military Families Speak Out.
Melida and Carlos lost their son Alex on August 25,2005.

The march will begin from the Village Green and march up Ocean Ave. to about 75 yards near the Bush
compound (just as we did last year). All permits have been granted.

This protest will focus on the immediate withdrawal of American troops as well as calling for the
impeachment of Bush and Cheney. Speakers will take about why it is important to hold the leaders
accountable for the illegal war, war crimes, the mutilation of our Constitution and the evisceration
of habeas corpus, torture , warrant less surveillance of U.S. citizens and abuse of power

The kitties, Dot (6 yrs.), Snowie (5 yrs. - think of a feline "Patrick" off of SpongeBob Squarepants), Coco (the wild Bengal), and the newest member, Dexter (9 weeks). Dexter was born 'feral,' but he didn't get the memo about being wild. He sauntered into our house and bounced around, found the kitty boxes the first time he had to go, lets himself be cuddled ad nauseum, and eats out the big kitties' bowels (more fun, apparently, than his own). He bounces around all day long playing. He and Papa (my hubby) like to watch martial arts stuff together.

The family is doing well also (Hubby & Beloved Daughter, Her Royal Highness, 10-1/2).

DU meetup for a little while & I've been writing here to you all! Crook seems to be doing ok. His blood work came back & it was normal. The vet goes on vacation next week so when she gets back I'll take Crook to have an ultrasound done!
