CIA report on 9-11 addresses 'substantial redactions' in earlier reports

The CIA has been ordered to release by Labor Day a declassified summary of an internal report on the agency’s performance prior to the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, possibly shedding light on whether senior officials made fundamental lapses in judgment.

Under the 9/11 bill that President Bush signed into law Friday, the agency must release a public summary within 30 days of the law’s enactment, along with a classified annex for Congress that explains the report’s redactions.

Questions remain as to how much the CIA will declassify. The agency held lengthy negotiations with Congress over the 2003 release of the congressional 9/11 inquiry report and the 2004 report by the Senate Intelligence Committee on prewar intelligence, both of which contained substantial redactions.

When the Senate Intelligence panel released in September 2006 two further chapters of its prewar intelligence inquiry, Wyden argued that too much had been redacted. “Parts of these reports read like a dictionary with the definitions cut out,” he said at the time in a press release.

..has a workable alibi. Documented footage proves that our beloved Deserter-in-Chief was sitting on his Connecticut preppy keester in a Florida classroom at the time of the incident. Even after being told TWICE that the USA was under attack at the Twin Towers in New York City, Commander AWOL maintained a simian squat in a child-size chair, blithely reading a book for 5-year olds: 'My Pet Goat.'

"Therefore, we determine Commander AWOL's alibi to be legally, if not morally, intact. He did absolutely nothing at all. Thus, abiding the Official Dick-tates of the Skull & Boner Occult Cabal, he can't be blamed for 9/11.

"Nor can Commander AWOL be blamed for the ugly fact that the Pentagon had over one hour after the New York towers, but still could not muster as much as a pea shooter to defend itself or America's capital. It just sat there like a dumb palooka and let the "terrorists" smash a thoroughly tracked plane through its "recently reinforced" walls.

"Therefore, we render an OFFICIAL CIA pronouncement: Commander AWOL has an ironclad alibi. He did nothing at all. He just sat on his ass. He cannot be blamed for 9/11.

Like having no credible reason for "pulling" WTC 7; like having no real excuse for not scrambling NORAD fighters for nearly two hours after the first plane hit; like not explaining how Bushie managed to see the first plane hit the tower, even though it wasn't televised; like having no explanation for destroying all tapes of air traffic controllers conversations with military authorities; like having no response to the fact that jet fuel can't melt structural steel; like failing to supply a credible reason for both towers and #7 falling at near terminal velocity into their exact footprints...

And I'm just an interested bystander; 9/11 Truth researchers have come up with hundreds of instances in which the physical evidence is at complete odds with the official story.

This whole "failure of intelligence" line of reasoning is just a diversion to keep the mob from looking too closely at the real failures of intelligence as mentioned above. Still, everybody's kept their mouths shut so far, and the official story is still sanctioned by mass media gatekeepers, so everybody's too narcotized or scared to ask too many inconvenient questions. Nothing worse than being branded a conspiracy theorist, even though the official story is one of a massive conspiracy involving untrained pilots, a mastermind in a cave with a laptop, and a passport that fluttered to the ground miraculously undamaged by the fires of hell.

And because we're children, we continue to participate in this fiction because the truth may well be so horrific that it could cause brains to melt and Chertoff's gut to go into oracular mode again.
