1. Edwards?
But I'd be lying if Clinton didn't have a good chance of filling that particular blank.

Hey you suppose Jeb will run in 2012/2016?

4. IMO: Bush, Bush, Bush, Clinton, Clinton, Bush, Bush...
After Bush family friend Hinckley made his acquaintance, Pruneface was never the same. For all intents and treasons, Poppy was in charge of the White House from 1981 on.

5. Question for you Octafish..
do you think Reagan had much to do if anything with Iran/Contra? Meaning, in your opinion was he a co-conspirator, a puppet, or a useful idiot?

15. Reagan said the Contras were like the US ''Founding Fathers''...
And I'm sure Reagan's staff gave him briefings to support that load of bull.

For Pruneface, “Puppet” sounds nice. People who knew him said Ronald Reagan wasn't the same after he was shot. The guy was never that smart to begin with, but he was evil. The guy officially announced his candidacy for President in 1980 in Philadelphia, Mississippi, a place where civil rights workers were murdered in cold blood. Obviously, he sent a not-so-subtle signal to racist America that he was "All white."

Reagan claimed not to know anything about anything. With good reason:

Chief among Reagan's advisors was Ed Meese and Judge Clarke, both first-rate right-wingers and second-rate backstabbers (to be nice). So Poppy’s James Baker became Chief of Staff, the main gatekeeper for the jelly-bean popper and the nation’s business.

So, like today, the real power was in the Veep, George Herbert Walker Bush. The fellah was appointed head of the counter-terror program, head of the counter-narcotics program, head of the arming Iraq program. Gee. There wasn't much treason that Poppy didn't have a bloody hand in.

11. " Bush family friend Hinckley"... That interested me so I googled it but
The first page that came up lost me with the phrase "hypnotic programming".

It's no theory. Mind Control is what CIA does with American taxpayers' money.

EDIT: Must add the following:

Hinckley Bush Cousins

Prez Bush, Reagan Shooter Hinckley Are Cousins

Most people know that the brother of President Reagan's would-be assassin was supposed to have dinner with Neil Bush, son of then VP George H. W. Bush and brother of George W. Bush on the night following John Hinckley's attempt on the president's life. Even more interesting is that the families are related!

Here's the president's line:

1. Samuel Hinckley (1652-1698) and wife Sarah Pope (1657-bef 1727);
2. Mary Hinckley (1678-1741) m. Samuel Banks (1680-1750);
3. Joseph Banks (1730-c. 1757) and Thankful Hamlin Barnstable (1715-aft 1768);
4. Lemuel Banks (1739-1824) m. Rebecca Keeler (1751-1812);
5. Elijah Keeler Banks (1780-1856) m. Ester Stockhouse (1787-1819);
6. Mary Ann Banks (1817-aft 1876) m. Joseph Ambrose Beaky (1818-1858);
7. Martha Adela Beaky (1841-1917) m. David Davis Walker (1840-1918);
8. George Herbert Walker (1875-1953) m. Lucretia Wear (1874-1961);
9. Dorothy Walker (1901-1992) m. Preston Sheldon Bush (1895-1972);
10. George Herbert Walker Bush (born 1924), the 41st President, m. Barbra Pierce (born 1925);
11. George Walker Bush (born 1946), the 43rd President, married Laura Welch (b. 1946).

Will post John Hinckley's line separately. See next post.

I'm sick of both the families!

Time for some new blood - I like Edwards, Kucinich (dh's favorite b/c of his wife :)), Gravel is fun to mix things up, although I don't think he has a snowballs chance....

12. If Clinton is nominated....Guiliani Obama Obama n/t
sorry, I don't think Hil has any chance of winning a national election. She'd stir up all the repubs to get out and vote and a LOT of dems would rather vote independent than vote for her. So it'll be Guiliani I think. But, hell....I was absolutely CERTAIN this country wouldn't be stupid enough to put * back in for another 4 years, so what do I know!
