My analogy is that the truth is like pi = 3.1415926535897932384626433832795... and of course we can never know precisely what it is, but that does not mean that saying pi = 3.1415 and saying pi = 14 or pi = -6 or pi = googolplex are all equally valid just because we will never know precisely what pi is equal to. So I am stuck in the reality based world where the Bush tax cuts primarily benefit the rich no matter what Bush or Rush think (or say they think) and where Bush's opinion about economics is not as likely to be true as Krugman's. So maybe it is not exactly true, but it is close enough to work, and closer than a fool or a liar's "wild a$$ed guess".

Originally used by Mike Myers in "Austin Powers: Goldmember" as a joke about Dutch people. The whole movie (for whatever reason) is riddled with anti-Dutch jokes. This phrase was intended to highlight two of the popular stereotypes of Holland: marijuana and sweet confections. There really is no deeper meaning other than to play on these stereotypes. Since the release of the movie, the term has gained popularity as a general reference to marijuana use, and the "munchies" that may follow.

1 pie

PREP TIME 30 Min
COOK TIME 1 Hr
READY IN 1 Hr 30 Min

SERVINGS About scaling and conversions

INGREDIENTS
1 (9 inch) pie shell
1 cup white sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup butter
4 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup bourbon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
6 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup chopped pecans
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees F).
In a small saucepan combine sugar, corn syrup, and butter or margarine. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until butter or margarine melts and sugar dissolves. Cool slightly.
In a large bowl combine eggs, bourbon, vanilla, and salt. Mix well. Slowly pour sugar mixture into egg mixture, whisking constantly. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Pour mixture into pie shell.
Bake in preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until set and golden. May be served warm or chilled
