In a 1999 speech to the Petroleum Industry, Dick Cheney (then CEO of Halliburton) said:
“While many regions of the world offer great oil opportunities, the Middle East with two thirds of the world’s oil and the lowest cost, is still where the prize ultimately lies, even though companies are anxious for greater access there, progress continues to be slow.”
We see now that Cheney has gotten the ‘prize’, even though it meant the death of millions, a destruction of a culture and bringing the world to the precipice of total war.
He has also stated that the good Lord didn’t always see fit to put oil reserves under democratic governments.
The good Lord also didn’t encourage coveting your neighbor’s property. In fact, he made that one of the Ten Commandments.
So the government that embraces the will of God has re-written the Ten Commandments to suit its needs. You CAN covet your neighbor’s property. You CAN murder, steal, and you CAN worship the god of Oil.
If you see something that you absolutely, positively MUST have to increase your wealth and well-being….TAKE IT.
If your neighbor has something that is essential to your business, TAKE IT….while explaining to him that it is for his own good.
Cheney told the Iraqis that they were going to live under a democratic government and would share in the wealth of their country’s bounty.
What Cheney and the evil administration of the United States did was occupy a proud country with strong fundamental beliefs….and slapped them in the face with the depravity and immorality that the United States imported.
While U.S-encouraged alcohol, prostitution and gambling are now de rigueur in the areas where citizens regularly practice self-flagellation for purification, it is the GREED and THEFT of their resources that cuts deepest into the souls of the Iraqis…and the betrayal they feel at the hands of the infidel…the people who embrace ‘Girls Gone Wild;, Jeff Gannon, Paris Hilton, Las Vegas, Mark Foley, Lindsey Lohan, Ted Haggard, Britney Spears, Jack Abramoff, Duke Cunningham, and the endless number of those making a mockery of what the United States once stood for.
Wm. Shakespeare said it best: The evil that men do lives after them; the good is oft interred with their bones.
Cheney’s coffin will contain no good.
