To Get My Vote A Candidate Must ....
What is your bottom line requirement of a would-be Democratic Nominee; what is the one thing that is absolutely required to win your vote?

Mine is this: When interviewed a candidate MUST answer the question asked of them, not go off on a sidetrack of their own choosing or just repeat a line from one of their stump speeches.

That requirement thins the field very quickly.

What's your's?

1. When the question asked is legitimate, ok --but not if it is about drivel like 'haircuts'
WE suffer many incompetent members of the MSM asking stupid and/or insubstantial questions of candidates.

The present practice of avoiding the question and 'answering' with what you want to get in front of the public is a conservative commentator staple.

My biggest peeve is when a Dem and Repub are introduced to discuss a topic and the Repub talking head dominates all the time by speaking more than their half of the time, and then shouting over the Dem when they try to talk. It is implicitly condoned by the interviewer and the station carrying the so-called panel discussion. These guys could not survive if they had their microphone turned off while it was the Dem's turn to talk. They have no sense of fair-play and believe all the airtime belongs to them.

2. A record of doing what they said they were going to do..
Answering questions is an excellent criteria.

But if they are lying when answering it isn't going to do any good anyway.

5. ...represent liberty and justice for all, and everything that implies.
At least, that's what I want it to be. In reality, I've consistently voted for the lying piece of shit who was less intolerable than the other lying pieces of shit available, and I'm getting sick of participating in a system that doesn't represent me or my interests. That doesn't mean I'll stop voting - I'll do my civic duty - but I'm not going to help people take advantage of me any longer.
