There have been a number of old Seinfeld references made to the Larry Craig situation (see the number of posts detailing his "wide-stance" excuse), but here's one people may have missed. If you remember the episode where Jerry and George kept making comments in front of a female reporter that insinuated that the two were gay. Each time they denied it, they followed the statement with "not that there's anything wrong with that. . ."
If you listened to Craig's hateful rant yesterday, he might have well have said "I'm not gay. And yes, there is something wrong with that." The anger and vehemence in his voice was astounding. I'm not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that ;) ), so I don't know what it's like, but being that deep in the closet must be a horrible, horrible place.
