8. My guess is he wants Congress back in DC when he announces
That way he his supporters in the Senate and House can be easily trotted out on 24/7 News channels to give glowing endorsements of him. He gets a few days of free media coverage before the 9/11 anniversary stories start. I think your right about dragging this out too long. It is going to be almost impossible to build the kind of organization he needs in Iowa and New Hampshire at this late date.
here he is not"officially" running and debating..and they are using their money in state after state....and he thinks hes just going to slide in and take the lead.........if it was 1 of our own....I know I'd be pissed!
odd bird as Patrick Buchanan often is, I found one of his descriptions of Old Fred quite accurate. He said Fred is the guy who climbed the ladder without thinking of the eventual consequences. He wishes he did not have to jump of the diving board, but he doesn't want to humiliate himself by climbing back down.
Old Fred had given some "test speeches" a few weeks ago, and that he was terribly disappointing to those who had high hopes for him. He will not be a significant factor after he announces. It is hard to think of anyone being worse at debating than the announced republican candidates. Fred is worse.
